Our monthly goods trade dashboard – February 2021 – shows that our goods exports to the U.S. rose – up $688.1M (11.9%) to the 12 months ending February 2021. However, comparing on a monthly basis, February 2021 versus February 2020 shows a 9.2% decline in exports to the U.S.

The latest goods trade data shows that our exports to the U.S. continue to rise – up 12.9% – compared with December 2019 – while exports to some of New Zealand’s other key markets have flattened or declined.

Looking at exports again on an annual basis – 12 months to December 2020 versus 12 months to December 2019 – there is an increase of 17.7%.
